The warm autumn sun shimmers over the grey bricks and tiles of Beijing’s old town, with golden fallen leaves paving poetic lanes across hutongs. To enrich residents’ daily life and invite them to immerse themselves in Beijing’s profound history and autumn vitality, GTC Residence Beijing and Dongsi 78 Boutique Apartment jointly launched an old-town autumn outing. Residents stepped away from busy routines, wandered through Qianmen, Dashilan and other historic blocks, visited former residences of eminent figures, experienced the rhythm of old Beijing in leisurely strolls, and cherished precious cultural memories all the way.

本次秋游首站落脚于坐落西城区后海北沿的宋庆龄同志故居。整座中式院落依山傍水、清幽雅致，传统砖瓦构筑起古朴大气的园林宅邸，这里亦是宋庆龄先生晚年生活、办公的居所。庭院景致四时清雅，草木繁茂、回廊曲折，一砖一瓦都镌刻着时光沉淀的印记。
随行讲解员细致讲述先生投身爱国救国事业、推动妇女解放运动的卓越功绩与家国初心，住客徜徉于静谧庭院之中，端详完好留存的日常起居陈设，深切体悟这座精神家园承载的崇高品格与家国情怀，让传统文化与红色文脉悄然浸润心底。
The first stop of the trip was the Former Residence of Comrade Soong Ching-ling on the north bank of Houhai, Xicheng District. Nestled beside the lake, this classic Chinese courtyard boasts serene elegance with time-honored brick-and-tile architecture, serving as the place where Ms. Soong Ching-ling spent her later years working and living. Lush vegetation and winding corridors fill the garden, with every detail bearing the marks of years.
Led by professional guides, residents learned about her remarkable contributions to national salvation and women’s liberation. Wandering through the tranquil courtyard and viewing preserved daily furnishings, guests deeply felt her noble sentiments and devotion to the motherland, rooted themselves in timeless cultural heritage.
## 漫游老城街巷，尽赏秋日韵味

辞别静谧故居，一行人移步北京中轴线南段，开启沉浸式老城漫游之旅。行程自明清皇城门户正阳门启程，巍峨庄重的正阳门城楼、箭楼屹立百年，静静诉说着旧时皇城防御岁月；走进民俗展览馆，细细品读老北京衣食住行的市井百态，重拾消逝的古都生活光景。
踱步百年老牌商业街大栅栏，街巷间萦绕着同仁堂醇厚药香，瑞蚨祥精致绸缎琳琅满目，民国复古建筑错落排布，一众百年老字号相依共生，尽显京城百年商业底蕴。
Leaving the former residence, the group toured the southern section of Beijing’s Central Axis. Starting from Zhengyangmen, the imperial gateway of the Ming and Qing dynasties, residents admired the majestic gate tower and arrow tower witnessing centuries of history, and explored folk exhibitions showcasing traditional Beijing lifestyle.
Strolling down century-old Dashilan Commercial Street, guests breathed in the herbal aroma of Tongrentang, admired exquisite silk fabrics at Ruifuxiang, and appreciated the historical charm of Republican-era architecture and time-honored Chinese brands.
继而走入底蕴悠长的杨梅竹斜街：这条始建于元代的古老胡同，往昔文人墨客云集、书局林立，如今新潮文创小店与原生胡同肌理完美交融，松弛氛围适宜驻足闲逛；毗邻的樱桃胡同充盈鲜活市井烟火，原汁原味的老城风貌随处可见，住客偶遇兔儿爷非遗手艺人，近距离感受老北京传统民俗的鲜活温度。
旅途终站抵达琉璃厂文化街，徜徉荣宝斋、中国书店之间，笔墨书香、古籍墨韵萦绕周身，沉浸式领略“中国书画博物馆街”博大精深的传统文化底蕴。
Later, the group visited Yangmeizhu Xiejie, a Yuan-dynasty hutong once home to numerous literati and bookstores. Today, trendy cultural and creative stores harmonize with the original hutong layout, offering a laid-back wandering experience. Neighbouring Yingtao Hutong brims with authentic urban vitality; residents chanced upon craftsmen making the traditional Beijing Rabbit God figurines, getting up close to local folk customs.
The journey concluded at Liulichang Cultural Street. Bathed in the scholarly atmosphere of Rongbaozhai and China Bookstore, residents experienced the profound cultural essence of China’s renowned calligraphy, painting and antique street.

After the all-day old-town wandering, residents gathered at Laogen Villa Restaurant for a warm dinner. Decorated with vintage brick walls and red lanterns, the restaurant fully presents Northeastern rural style. All farmhouse dishes are made with fresh local ingredients from Northeast China, featuring rich and genuine flavours. Accompanied by Errenzhuan folk opera music, guests dined together, shared travel anecdotes, and indulged in the unique catering culture of Northeast China.
