The Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese festival with a long history, symbolizing reunion and perfection. On this festive and auspicious day, GTC Residence held a warm Lantern Festival celebration activity, inviting all guests to gather together to experience traditional folk customs and celebrate the wonderful festival.

Eating glutinous rice balls on the 15th day of the first lunar month is a time-honored custom in China. It carries people's longing for relatives and the wish for family reunion. To present an authentic festival experience, we specially prepared classic fillings including sesame, rose and jujube paste, as well as glutinous rice crusts for the guests.

All guests participated in making glutinous rice balls with sincere blessings. After repeated attempts, they skillfully made round and full glutinous rice balls from irregular shapes. The handmade glutinous rice balls were boiled in hot water and tasted extremely sweet. The joy of labor and harvest made the traditional delicacy even more delicious.

Apart from making and tasting glutinous rice balls, enjoying beautiful lanterns is also an indispensable tradition of the Lantern Festival. The bright and gorgeous lanterns created a strong festival atmosphere, allowing every guest to appreciate the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture.
